An Award-Winning Dual-Brand Project: Home2 Suites + Tru by Hilton Flagstaff

In 2026, this property was awarded Hilton’s Dual-Brand Deal of the Year, recognizing a project built around the unique challenge of bringing two distinct Hilton brands together under one roof.

Working with NCG Hospitality, Furniture Industries provided procurement, public-area design and installation services across this 113-room Home2 Suites and 91-room Tru property.

Designing for Two Brands at Once

The most interesting part of this project was also one of its biggest design challenges.

Home2 Suites and Tru share an entrance, public areas and back-of-house spaces, but have separate guestroom corridors. That meant the public spaces needed to work as one cohesive environment while still making sense for two distinct brands.

Our team considered that relationship from the beginning, using elements like carpet transitions and the elevator location to help define where one brand experience ends and the other begins.

The breakfast area blends elements of both brands into a shared design.

More Than 200 Rooms Means a Lot of Moving Parts

Beyond design, the scale of the property required close coordination between procurement, construction, installation, the general contractor and ownership.

Some product arrived earlier than anticipated, installation of guestroom wall and ceiling panels presented challenges, and certain Tru metal furnishings required replacement rather than simple onsite touch-ups when damaged.

It was a good example of why FF&E management extends well beyond placing orders. The details continue all the way through installation and punch.

Finishing Strong

Communication played an important role throughout the project, particularly as the property approached completion.

For the final site trip, both our Project Manager, Krista Burton, and Construction Manager, Deanna Petron, were onsite together with ownership. That allowed project questions to be addressed while the final walkthrough happened simultaneously.

The property was completed on time.

The Best Outcome? More Work Together.

For us, one of the strongest measures of a successful project is whether a client wants to work together again.

Following the Home2 Suites Tru Flagstaff project, the client brought Furniture Industries on for two additional hotel renovation projects.

That continued relationship says a lot about what matters in FF&E: not that every project goes perfectly, but that when challenges come up, you have a team that communicates, solves problems and stays involved through the finish.
